That's right, you can spend hours preserving, staining and sealing your home, only to see the products you used fail. The cause - some products just aren't made for log homes or formulated to work together. Stains with waxes and other additives can interfere with caulk or chinking adhesion, leaving cracks and gaps. Some preservatives can discolor wood, affecting the stain's appearance.
